TWO students from Caroline Chisholm Catholic College have won awards for their work highlighting the plight of Melbourne’s homeless.

Two Year 10 photography students, Jason Nguyen and Stephanie Grech, recently took out first and third places respectively in Concern Australia’s Homelessness Photography Exhibition.

Through the competition, Concern Australia reached out to secondary students and young people up to 19 years of age across Melbourne to explore the theme of homelessness creatively.

An exhibition of the works will be on display until this Thursday at Bean Good social enterprise cafe, 200 Queen St, Melbourne.

Earlier in August a group of the college’s students spent the night at the school in support of the Vinnies Sleepout Appeal.
